I love this photograph, not just because it contains some of the people I love dearly, but because it encapsulates a special kings cross moment. There is nothing posed here, it is as natural as it is possible to be, just a magical time in Roslyn Street one night in November. (Click Image To Enlarge)
Perfect place for a wine with friends as the sun goes down and situated centrally by the El Alamein Fountain at the corner ofDarlinghurst Road and Macleay Street, the Fountain Cafe gives the feeling that given enough time the whole world will eventually pass by. It seems difficult to walk past without seeing someone you know at a table. (CLick Image To Enlarge)
Imagine 2 dozen easels, 3 artist's models (suitably declothed), and a classical drawing teacher. Place them in Fitzroy Gardens in the center of Kings Cross and invite passers-by to draw and make a small donation to the Wayside Chapel's homeless persons program. Result: magic.
